Which breeds do you breed, have or show?
I started breeding Persian in 1987. I have bred Persian and British short hair for many years. Currently sharing the house with my partners six retired Persian.
How long you are already a judge?
I started my first course in 1992 and received my All Breed Judge Status in April 2001. Trained under SACC South Africa. I was a Panel Member The Kwa-Zulu Natal Panel of Judges (Natal) until December 2012 before immigrating to the Netherlands.
What is important for you, when you work as judge? In your work, in the cats
The most in-portent is not to be negative. I will always look for the positive in all breeds. Condition and presentation is for me important.
Which hobbies – besides the cats – do you have?
As I was from South Africa both mine and my partners passion is wild live and the stunning photo we make at game parks in Africa.
Is there something else important, what you want to tell our visitors and
exhibitors?
I am a great believer that judges can learn from breeders, if you want to grow and understand what breeders want to achieve without being negative.
