What breeds do you breed, own or show?
I am proud owner of „Audrey” a white housecat, who found me on a parking near the autobahn. She decided that she wants me as new can opener and jumped into my car.
I started in the early 80s with the breeding of Persians in Bicolour and Colourpoint.
How long have you been a judge?
Since the 90s I am a cat judge. After disappointing experiences I stopped judging, but now already for 6 years I am intensely working with cats again and am member of the Deutsche Edelkatze. I feel well received and hosted under the roof of WCF. The warm and friendly un-
derstanding with the board and the commissions led me to be member of the disciplinary commission now. This mission is very interesting but hard work as well.
Do you have favorite breeds or colors or patterns? Which?
I love all breeds. I am happy, when a cat has a wonderful character and is groomed well. This is at least as important as the type, that should refer to the standard of breeds. At the moment I am working with my friends on the recognition of the Aphrodite’s Giants, the oldest witness of tamed cats living with humans.
What is important for you if you work as a judge?
A well organized working schedule and mechanics and relaxed cats and exhibitors. It is a lot of fun to experience these beautiful animals from the special point of view of a judge. What I am looking for is the unique beauty of every single cat.
What hobbies - besides the cats - do you have?
I have a lot of interests. I own some macaws and horses and I love to go riding and skiing. I have a fable for Singing and speaking languages, I love to eat and drink and I cultivate my relationship to my friends and family.
Is there something important, what do you tell our visitors and exhibitors
This is our Hobby. Let us make this World-Show a big and happy party. To win is not the most important. It is the joy that we feel when we celebrate our hobby together.
